1. About Us

Oxthorpe Barwell is a document administration and letter writing service registered in England and Wales. Companies House number: 15922586. Registered address: 123 Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 3ND.

We prepare formal correspondence and documentation on behalf of clients. We do not act as solicitors, legal advisors, claims management companies, or regulated financial advisers. Nothing on this website or in any correspondence we prepare constitutes legal advice.

2. Our Services

Oxthorpe Barwell provides document administration and letter writing services. This includes the drafting of formal letters and written correspondence on a client's instruction. Our services are administrative in nature.

We do not:

• Provide legal advice or legal representation
• Act as your agent in any legal proceedings
• Guarantee any outcome as a result of correspondence we prepare
• Make representations to third parties on your behalf other than through written correspondence

Any decision to act upon correspondence prepared by us, or to proceed with any matter, remains entirely your own responsibility.

3. Engaging Our Services

A service agreement is formed when you confirm your instruction in writing and make your Stage 1 payment. Prior to that point, any free initial review or consultation is provided without obligation and does not constitute a contract.

By instructing us you confirm that:

• You are aged 18 or over
• The information you have provided to us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
• You have the authority to instruct us in connection with the matter
• You understand that we are providing an administrative document service and not legal advice

4. Stage Payments and Fees

Our fees are structured as stage payments, each corresponding to a defined stage of work. Our service comprises three stages:

• Stage 1 — Initial Administrative Assessment: Payable upon engagement. Covers the full review of your matter and preparation of your initial administrative file.
• Stage 2 — Document Preparation & Consultancy Fee: Payable upon completion of document drafting and any associated administrative consultancy.
• Stage 3 — Administrative Pack Completion Fee: Payable upon completion of all associated administrative work and delivery of the completed administrative pack.

Fees are not fixed or listed publicly. Each matter is assessed individually and a written fee quote is provided before any stage is confirmed. You will not be charged for a stage until the applicable fee has been agreed with you in writing and that stage of work is due to commence.

Where VAT applies, this will be stated clearly in your fee quote.

5. Cancellation Rights

You have the right to cancel your service agreement within 14 days of signing it, without giving a reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

6. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to carry out our services effectively, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful and complete information when briefing us
• Respond to requests for further information or clarification in a timely manner
• Review and approve correspondence before it is issued where required
• Notify us promptly of any changes to your matter or contact details

We accept no liability for any delay or error caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, design, graphics, and logos, is the property of Oxthorpe Barwell and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without our prior written consent.

Documents and correspondence we prepare for you are provided for your personal use in connection with the matter for which they were prepared. They may not be resold or redistributed.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Oxthorpe Barwell's liability in connection with the provision of our services shall be limited to the fees paid by you for the stage of work in question.

We shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from the actions or decisions of any third party in response to correspondence we prepare
• Any indirect, consequential, or special loss
• Any outcome or result, positive or negative, of correspondence issued on your behalf

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us in writing in the first instance. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to provide a full response within 28 days.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
